NTA-specific adjustments
Official UCP rates are the baseline. This division applies fixed calibrations so the numbers below are what this tracker uses.
| Component | Calibration | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | 66.7% (2⁄3) | 4 pts/hr (official 6) |
| Zero-case day cap | × 2⁄3 | ~16 pts (official 24) |
| In-house availability | 110% | Official × 1.10 |
| In-house production | 100% | Official rates |
| OR case time | 100% | Official 8–16 |
| Flats / art line | 100% | 2 × wRVU |
| Pediatric premiums | 200% | Official × 2 |
| Cardiac / transplant | N/A | Not used here |
| Management / site chief | 0% | Not in app total |
These multipliers are locked for NTA — not configurable per user.
Case time (pts per hour)
Billed OR time is scored by when it happens. Cases that cross windows are split across bands.
| Window | Pts/hr |
|---|---|
| Weekday 0700–1500 | 8 |
| Weekday 1500–1700 | 10 |
| Weekday 1700–2200 | 12 |
| Weekday 2200–0700 | 14 |
| Weekend (Fri 1700 → Mon 0700) | 14 |
| Holiday window (see below) | 16 |
Concurrent / supervised cases use compressed time — overlapping minutes are not double-counted.
Availability
Gap time on non-holiday weekdays 0700–1500 when you are not in a case.
- NTA rate: 4 pts/hr (official is 6).
- If you have any billed case that day, availability fills the gaps in that window.
- Low census (zero cases, marked available): capped day — ~16 pts here (official 24), minus any time after you mark UCP unavailable.
- Vacation: UCP unavailable all day → 0 availability.
Holiday points
Only these six days trigger holiday rates:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4)
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Holiday window: 1700 the day before → 0700 the day after. Inside that window, case time is 16 pts/hr and in-house uses holiday call rates. No daytime availability during UCP holiday time — if you are not working, nothing is offered.
Call scheduling also uses a wider “holiday call calendar” for some shifts (e.g. Memorial/Labor weekend, Thanksgiving Thu–Sun, Christmas Eve/Day, NYE/NYD) — that affects which call windows apply, not the 16‑pt holiday case-time window itself. On Today, badges separate NTA call holiday (assignment) from UCP holiday rates (premium points); tap a badge for a short helper.
In-house call
In-house = availability for the shift plus production on billed hours / epidurals. Mark roles on Today (PGA Boardrunner, OB, Trauma, unavailable) — add each to the day cart with its times. Defaults are the full normal windows; tap a cart item to edit (e.g. late BR check-in). Cases overlapping an in-house window score as in-house; unavailable blocks daytime availability outside those windows.
Availability (official → NTA ×1.10)
| Window | Official | NTA |
|---|---|---|
| Weekday 0700–1900 | 6 | 6.6 |
| Weeknight 1900–0700 | 7 | 7.7 |
| Weekend (Fri 1700 → Mon 0700) | 8 | 8.8 |
| Holiday window | 9 | 9.9 |
Production (official = NTA)
| Window | Per billed hour / epidural |
|---|---|
| Weekday 0700–1900 | 3 |
| Weeknight 1900–0700 | 4 |
| Weekend (all hours) | 5 |
| Holiday (all hours) | 6 |
How call types map in this app
- PGA Boardrunner In-house · 06:30–18:30
- OB Call / OB Night Weekday night 18:30–06:30 · holiday often 24h from 06:30
- OB Day Weekend/holiday day · 06:30–18:30 (24h on holiday call days)
- Trauma Call In-house · 19:00–07:00
- PGA BR + OB night Day and night slots can both be on
Home / OR call (stipend)
OR Call is home call. It flags the day for stipend tracking and does not change production math — cases still get full case-time rates.
- Weekday 19:00–07:00
- Weekend / holiday Often 24h from 07:00
Official “beeper call” also has its own availability rates (2 / 3 / 4 pts/hr weeknight / weekend / holiday). That beeper availability is excluded from synergy UCP totals in the plan doc; this tracker treats OR Call as a stipend flag + full production on cases.
Flats & blocks
Non-time procedures = 2 × physician wRVU (Appendix A schedule).
- Only the two highest-value blocks per patient count.
- Arterial line (CPT 36620) = 2.00 pts — outside the top-2 rule.
- Common blocks are on the quicklist (IS, SC, TAP, ESP, adductor, pop, epidural, etc.).
OB epidurals (context)
On in-house call, epidurals can credit at in-house production rates (per epidural). Outside a shift, an epidural can be treated as one hour of case-time points for its start time. Placement flats in the app are available on PGA Boardrunner / OB call days.
Pediatric premiums
Added on top of case time for qualifying ages. NTA doubles the official premiums.
| Age band | Official | NTA |
|---|---|---|
| 2–14 years | +2 /hr | +4 /hr |
| 6 months – 2 years | +4 /hr | +8 /hr |
| ≤ 6 months | +8 /hr | +16 /hr |
Cardiac and transplant premiums exist in the official plan but are not used in this division.
Day flags in the app
- Low Census Available, zero cases → capped availability. Case entry closed.
- Partial / Unavailable Stops further availability from that time forward (including on low census).
- Vacation UCP unavailable all day · 0 availability. Case entry closed.
- Stipend Call Add-on flag only — never changes production math.
Key rules worth remembering
- Weekend is a time window (Fri 1700 → Mon 0700), not just Sat/Sun calendar days.
- Holiday case rate is a window (1700 day-before → 0700 day-after), including NYE into New Year’s.
- Multi-window cases are apportioned minute-by-minute.
- Concurrent cases compress overlapping time at the day total.
- Qgenda is the official source of truth for availability and call assignments; this app is your personal tracker.
- Privacy: initials only — no DOB or full names.
